Study Reveals Fake Transaction Throughput On EOS Network

The research titled ‘EOS: An Architectural, Performance and Economic Analysis.” attempts to “validate any speculative claims surrounding EOS and provide a comprehensive understanding of the system design and capabilities”.

EOS blockchain boasts a transaction capacity of over 3000 transactions per second [TPS]. The blockchain network has been in the news for breaking transaction records and Block.One the company behind EOS has always focussed on scalability. However, a new study found that transaction capacity on the EOS blockchain is just 250 TPS much lower compared to the TPS shown by the EOS Network Monitor.

The research titled ‘EOS: An Architectural, Performance and Economic Analysis.” attempts to “validate any speculative claims surrounding EOS and provide a comprehensive understanding of the system design and capabilities”. The transaction throughput was analyzed by comparing different levels of network latency, packet loss, size of transactions, number of clients and block producers and the no of transactions per client.
